Sleepless World – Boris Randzio
ON: 17.05.2025 - 18.04.2025 AT: Atelier Gardens
In his evocative dance piece Sleepless World, Boris Randzio brings this atmosphere to life through movement. Set to music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Radiohead, Hania Rani, and Studnitzky, the work oscillates between past and present, fear and hope – all the while offering bold glimpses into a possible future.
The powerful and sensitive choreography is carried by an exceptional ensemble:
Ana Đorđević, Brice Asnar, Hannah Stein, and Ya-Chun Tsai give form to the inner tensions of a society in flux – through intimate solos and emotionally charged group sequences, brought to life with precision and immediacy.
For one night, Atelier Gardens in Berlin will transform into a space of deep reflection and emotional intensity.

About Boris Randzio
Berlin-born artist Boris Randzio is a passionate dancer, choreographer, and actor. He began his career as a full-time company member at the Deutsche Oper Berlin ballet and spent 11 years as a soloist at Ballett am Rhein in Düsseldorf under the direction of Martin Schläpfer.
His international career has taken him to renowned venues such as Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, the Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv, Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo, and Teatro Real in Madrid. Since 2020, he has worked as a freelance artist based in Berlin and is also a long-time member of the Austrian independent theatre group VADA.
Boris Randzio uses movement to explore emotional landscapes. His works invite the audience into themes of vulnerability, self-discovery, and transformation. His choreographies are layered and nuanced, revealing the tension between inner sensitivity and the expressive power of the body.
“…both as an ensemble and in pas de deux, the dancers embody equality with striking precision. Even the solos reflect human fears and longings, conveyed through modern ballet language and strong dance technique – all deeply enhanced by the proximity to the audience and music by Radiohead and Hania Rani.”
