FOTOGRAFISKA DAYS: CULTURAL FABRIC
Rereading the Relationship Between Art and Fashion Practices.
FOTOGRAFISKA DAYS is a weekend-long program event taking place 23 – 25.03.2023 at Atelier Gardens, featuring a group exhibition, panel discussions, workshops, portfolio reviews, film screenings, and a party to close the festivities.
Titled CULTURAL FABRIC – Rereading the Relationship Between Fashion and Art Practices, the program rethinks the images and narratives that surround us. Presenting local and international artists such as JULIE POLY, CARLOTTA GUERRERO and MOUS LAMRABAT, in addition to a host of experts and speakers from the broad field of visual production, we aim to reflect on our contemporary culture and its values relating to representation and meaning. Together, we will address the instability of images in different media, alongside the creative and subversive potential of their consumption and interpretation, as they relate to fashion and art.
As part of EMOP – European Month of Photography, tickets for the entire FOTOGRAFISKA DAYS event will be priced at €6. Entry can be secured with the Jugendkulturkarte (which is available in local libraries with a credit of €50 valid for cultural programs around Berlin). More info, including a full run of participating artists, will soon be revealed.
